Microsoft Windows 8 Voice Recognition

Microsoft’s internal Tellme team is working on implementing speech recognition software into the Redmond-based firm’s portfolio of software and hardware products. Windows 8 Aero Auto-Colorization

The next new feature of the upcoming Windows 8 operating system has been revealed: Windows Aero Auto-Colorization. What does it mean? It basically means that Aero will change the colorization of Windows automatically based on the underlying color. If you have green background, for instance a green desktop wallpaper, then the window color will also be set to colors in that spectrum. (more…)

Windows 8 will run on today’s computers

After that whole Vista mess, Microsoft learned a valuable lesson about hardware requirements and its operating systems. First, it’s a terrible idea to let your OEM partners ship systems that are barely capable of running the new OS you’re asking them to install on them. Second, if you can deliver a new OS that runs on hardware that could run your last-gen OS, everyone will cheer. (more…)
