Windows 8 Computers Will be on Sale in October This Year

The announcement was made by Microsoft in Toronto, but a specific sales date was not announced. Windows 8 Consumer Preview is Finally Here!

Microsoft finally compiled the public Windows 8 Consumer Preview build, 8250 (Beta version). The public release of the following build its scheduled for later today 29th February. Microsoft announced that they would unveil the Consumer preview version of Windows 8 today  during the Mobile World conference in Barcelona, Spain. 2012 Release For Windows 8, Ballmer Reiterates

At a Microsoft Developer Forum in Japan today, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer confirmed what we’ve all been assuming: the company plans to release Windows 8 in 2012, just about three years after the release of Windows 7.
